“SHARE YOUR MARK” OFFICIAL RULES FOR FREE BOOK DRAWING SPONSOR This promotion (the “Free Book Drawing”) is sponsored by The Zondervan Corporation L.L.C. (“Zondervan”), 5300 Patterson Avenue SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49530. Zondervan will be giving away autographed copies of the book, What’s Your Mark? signed by author Jeremy Cowart. Two winners will be selected each week for 10 weeks beginning March 20, 2013 and ending May 22, 2013. Every week, two story entries will be randomly selected from the week’s previous entries.

ELIGIBILITY NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The Free Book Drawing is open to legal residents of the continental United States (excluding residents of U.S. Territories and Possessions) over age 18 at the time of entry, excluding employees (and their immediate family members) of Zondervan, and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, assigns, advertising, promotional and fulfillment agents, attorneys, and other representatives and the persons with whom each of the above are domiciled. Offer void in Alaska and Hawaii and wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Each participant must be the rightful owner or have authorized use of the email address used to enter the Free Book Drawing. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of the person submitting an entry, the winner will be deemed to be the person in whose name the registered account was opened. By participating, all participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.

ENTRY METHOD There are two ways to enter the Free Book Drawing: 1) Online entry by visiting the Website, clicking on the “Share Your Story” Form and following the on screen prompts to fill out and submit the required information in the designated spaces, which will include, among other information, the entrant’s name, address and email, and uploading his/her original “Share Your Mark” story and accompanying photo. Participant will then press “Submit for Drawing and Site,” enter requested information, accepting the Official Rules, and clicking “Submit” to complete entry. By filling out and submitting the entry form and uploading a story and accompanying photo in the proper format, participants will be entered into the Free Book Drawing. Entry is not complete until participant has followed the online prompts to upload the story and accompanying photo and affirmatively accepted the Official Rules. Once the participant submits a story and accompanying photo, the story and accompanying photo will be uploaded to a private channel (not accessible to the general public) whereby the story and accompanying photo will be accessed by Zondervan or its agents or representatives to confirm compliance with the submission requirements below. Once compliance is confirmed by Zondervan, the participant will receive an email confirming that their story and accompanying photo will be posted to the Website. Any photo and/or story that is not in compliance with the submission requirements below will not be posted to the Website but participant will still be entered into the Free Book Drawing if all other information fields are complete. OR 2) Entry by email by directly emailing Rachel.Mars@zondervan.com and listing entrant’s name, address, email address and phone number within the body of the email message. No photo and/or story submission are required to enter using this method of entry. Participants must provide all information requested to be eligible to win. Limit one (1) Entry per person for this Free Book Drawing. Any additional entries will be disqualified without notification.

STORY AND PHOTO SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Prior to submitting a story and photo with entry, the participant must carefully review the instructions below and the elements provided for the creation of the “Share Your Mark” story and photo. • The story must be an inspirational, personal story depicting an individual’s positive mark on their world, including who or what is impacted through their mark and must be consistent with the Christian mission of Zondervan. The “mark” may be literal or metaphorical. The story may include reference to Bible verses that relate to the entrant’s “mark.” • The story must be no longer than 2500 characters (approximately 4 -5 paragraphs). • The accompanying photo must be related to the story and may either depict the entrant or something else that represents the entrant’s “mark.” • The image should be a jpeg or png file, RBG color (not CMYK), and under 5 MB. Photos will appear in a square frame using the center of the photo uploaded by the participant. • All elements incorporated in both the story and photo must be the participant’s original work and the participant must be the sole author of the story. • The story and photo must not contain material that violates or infringes another's rights, including but not limited to material that violates privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement. Participant may be required to provide an executed copy to Zondervan (if requested by Zondervan) of applicable releases or consents for any performers appearing or individuals otherwise depicted in the photo. Without limiting the foregoing, the photo must not include third party trademarks, logos, insignia, location signage, photographs, artwork, or sculptures. • The story and photo must not contain material which is (or promotes activities which are) sexually explicit, obscene, pornographic, violent, self-mutilating (e.g., relating to murder, the sales of weapons, cruelty, abuse, etc.), discriminatory (based on race, sex, religion, natural origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age), illegal (e.g. underage drinking, substance abuse, computer hacking, etc.), offensive, threatening, profane, or harassing. • Any story and/or photo that does not satisfy all of the above requirements will not be posted to the Website.

ENTRY PERIOD The Free Book Drawing will commence on March 13, 2013 at 12:00 a.m. and will be complete on May 22, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (the “Entry Period”).

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS Winners will be notified by email before May 29, 2013 and will be required to provide Zondervan by return email with a postal address where their free book should be mailed. In Zondervan’s sole discretion, the potential winner may be disqualified and required to forfeit his/her prize, and an alternate winner may be selected in accordance with these Official Rules from among the remaining eligible entries, if potential winner: (i) is unreachable or winner notification is returned as undeliverable; (ii) declines or cannot accept, receive or use the prize for any reason; or (iii) does not comply with these Official Rules, or (iv) does not provide Zondervan with a correct postal address to send the book. Zondervan is not responsible for autographed books mailed but not received. Forfeited prizes may not be awarded. Additionally, each week during the Entry Period, Zondervan will choose (at Zondervan’s sole editorial discretion) one “Share Your Mark” story and accompanying photo from the entries receive to date to be featured prominently on the Website. Selection of a story and/or accompanying photo to be featured on the Website has no bearing on the Free Book Drawing prize winner selections and will not give the entrant any advantage with respect to the random drawing.

PRIZE A total of 20 autographed copies of What’s Your Mark? signed by author Jeremy Cowart will be given away with two winners selected each week for 10 weeks.

CONDITIONS By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the results of the selection of the winners, which shall be final, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Free Book Drawing and/or these Official Rules. All federal, state and local tax liabilities arising from this Free Book Drawing will be the sole responsibility of the winner. Furthermore, acceptance of prizes constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, likeness, biography, and prize won for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation, except where prohibited or restricted by law. The entrants release, discharge, and hold harmless Zondervan, Jeremy Cowart and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, assigns, attorneys, representatives and agents, including advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies (the “Released Parties”), from any and all liability or damages arising from the administration of the Free Book Drawing and the use or misuse of any prize received in this Free Book Drawing, including, without limitation, the following: (i) late, lost, incomplete, delayed, misdirected or unintelligible entries, (ii) any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Free Book Drawing, and (iii) any damage to the entrant’s computer, related equipment, data files, and software resulting from entrant’s downloading of information regarding the Free Book Drawing or participation in the Free Book Drawing. Furthermore, participant shall indemnify and defend the Released Parties from any and all damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from a claim that participant’s Entry, including without limitation, the entrant’s photo and/or story, violates a third party’s rights. By submitting the story and accompanying photo, the participant represents and warrants to Zondervan that (i) the story and photo are wholly original and do not infringe upon or otherwise violate any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other proprietary right of any person or entity, (ii) the participant has secured all rights and releases necessary to submit the story and/or photo in the Free Book Drawing in accordance with these Official Rules and (iii) no party other than entrant has any right, title or interest in and to the story and/or photo or any part of thereof which would impair the rights granted hereunder. In consideration of Zondervan considering the story and photo for the Free Book Drawing, the participant grants Zondervan a perpetual, fully-paid, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to display the story and photo in connection with the Free Book Drawing throughout the universe in any manner, form, or format now or hereinafter created, including, but not limited to, on the Internet, all without further consent from or payment to the participant. The completion, expiration and/or termination of the Free Book Drawing shall not affect Zondervan’s rights regarding the story and/or photo or Zondervan’s other rights hereunder. Furthermore, submission of Entry by participant constitutes permission of the use of their name, likeness and biography as it may be incorporated into and displayed in connection with their Entry and the Free Book Drawing and the advertising, promotion and publicity thereof. Participant acknowledges that Zondervan has no obligation to post the story and photo on the Website or otherwise publish it. Participant understands that his/her name and story and/or photo may be posted on the Internet in connection with the Free Book Drawing. The story and/or photo as it is posted by Zondervan may differ from the story and/or photo originally submitted due to technical errors, problems, compatibility or other issues, and Zondervan shall have no liability related thereto. Zondervan may only use the personally identifiable information obtained from the entrants in accordance with these Rules and its privacy policy, which may be found at http://zondervan.com/privacy-policy. Zondervan reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend this Free Book Drawing should an error, virus, bug, computer problem or other causes beyond Zondervan’s control corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the Free Book Drawing and, in such situation, to select the winner from the remaining eligible non-suspect entries received prior to and/or after such action or in such manner as deemed fair and appropriate by Zondervan in its sole discretion. Zondervan may prohibit you from participating in the Free Book Drawing or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that you are attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Free Book Drawing by cheating, hacking or employing other unfair practices or by abusing other entrants or the representatives of Zondervan. Any use of micro, automatic, programmed, robotic or like entry methods will be void and participants using such methods will be disqualified without notice. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE OPERATION OF THE CHALLENGE MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND, IN SUCH EVENT, ZONDERVAN RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PURSUE ITS REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING COSTS AND ATTORNEY’S FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. Any dispute arising from the Promotion will be determined according to the laws of the State of Michigan, without reference to its conflict of laws principles, and the entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of the State and Federal Courts located in the State of Michigan and County of Kent over them and agree that such courts have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes. THE ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND UPON THE NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED.
